Your vehicle's trunk or cargo space can hold up to 100lbs of personal belongings, packed in either a single box or suitcase for transport. If you plan to ship additional items with your car, please inform us of their estimated weight at the time of booking to receive a comprehensive quote.
Adhering to specific guidelines for personal items in your vehicle during transport is essential. The front seats and floorboards should be completely clear of any personal items. This rule also applies to the backseat and its floorboards unless an agreement for an inclusive rate covering extra items has been reached.
According to Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations, open transport trailers are not permitted to carry any items outside of the vehicle. On the other hand, enclosed auto transport trailers may carry extra items, such as engines or transmissions, as long as they are securely crated.
Please note, the rules differ for shipping vehicles to or from Hawaii. In these cases, personal items are not allowed inside the vehicle at all. Failure to comply will result in the port denying the vehicle's entry, with the exception of children's car seats.
By following these guidelines, you can ensure a smooth and compliant vehicle transport process.
